I just wrapped up a six-month client coaching program with amazing results. It’s hard to express how gratifying it is to help someone reach their goals.
The respect I have for my clients is boundless. Learning to create action plans and timelines, try different productivity tools, change behaviors, revise goals, focus, celebrate and open up to new possibilities is a tall order. However, asking for help can be even more difficult.
Committing to working with a life coach is a big step. It might help to visualize what it would feel like to not only reach your goals, but also have the tools to set new objectives and action plans going forward. Reinventing yourself involves creating new ways to prioritize, organize and execute your life plan. A life coach holds clients accountable for forward progress but helping someone learn to do this for themselves is the ultimate goal.
While specific client results are unique, the ability to set and work toward goals is universal. Helping clients turn dreams into goals, find purpose, face obstacles, take one step at a time, stay focused on objectives, and celebrate success along the way is common in a coaching program.
The results of working with a life coach are meant to be life changing for the client. However, I find that they are also life changing for the coach. It’s an honor to receive someone’s trust, vest in someone’s success and celebrate someone’s accomplishments. I feel very fortunate to help others change their lives, which in turn enhances mine.
