Former Rock now Country artist Darius Rucker has a new song on the radio that could be a Life Transition Coaching anthem.
“When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Yeah, let yourself go, follow that feeling
Maybe something new is what you're needing
Like a real life, let your hair down, feel alive”
--Darius Rucker, For the First Time
Not only is this a catchy tune, but Darius (51) asks a provocative question that many mid-lifers are currently considering. Is this all there is? Is it time to take a new path and try something that makes you feel alive?
Darius knows about taking risks and trying something new. He began his career in 1986 as the lead singer for the Rock band Hootie & the Blowfish. I saw him perform at Bill Clinton’s Inaugural Ball and have been a fan ever since. In 2002, he released an R&B solo album and then hit the top of the Country music charts six years later. Darius clearly believes in reinventing himself.
